Today’s Czech Photography Masterclass is hosted by the remarkable astrophotographer @petrhoralek You can participate and get in touch with Petr by posting your own photos with the hashtag #masterclasshoralek Solar Eclipse They say it is the most natural phenomenon of all. Our Moon perfectly blocks the Sun in the sky, producing a darkness during a day. But do not fear the darkness, it is beautiful! Nature finally gets calm, quiet, animals go to sleep, and people shout with a standing ovation to the epic natural performance. In the sky, the diamond ring of eclipsed Sun slowly turns into an unusual object. The dark eclipsed Sun is surrounded by silver streamers of solar corona – otherwise too faint to be visible to the naked eye. It looks like a spider-net or a flower in the sky, surrounded by the brightest stars and planets. It all takes only minutes. You can only see one total solar eclipse at the same spot statistically once per 360 years as it is visible from a narrow bend on Earth. But luckily there are perfect predictions for when and where will be the next ones, so all you need is to travel to the right place and time. And then only enjoy the memorable moment. You will never regret and never forget. It is worth to live for! #eclipse #solareclipse #lunarshadow #tse #totalsolareclipse #sun #corona #solarcorona #stargazing #greatamericaneclipse #bailysbeads #diamondring #eclipseofsun #canonphotography #twanight #astrophotography #astronomy

The blue hour is the period of twilight (in the morning or evening, around the nautical stage) when the Sun is at a significant depth below the horizon and residual, indirect sunlight takes on a predominantly blue shade, which differs from the one visible during most of a clear day . .

International Dark Sky Week continues! The cone of light extending from the horizon here is the zodiacal light, only seen in dark locations. Despite the red lights from the Spring Valley Wind Farm, it was seen easily with the naked eye. . Zodiacal light is sunlight reflecting off particles along the plane of our solar system. From Earth the light follows the path of the zodiac constellations. Its seen best in spring and fall.. Single frame from US Route 50 in Nevada.
