Moving forward, NCPP will be posting young, emerging photographers’ work on a weekly basis. Stay tuned to hear about their work and the project we have planned for this summer! NCPP wishes to thank our community of donors, volunteers, and social media followers for their support. On September 26th, Newburgh Community Photo Project unveiled “Unmasking the Truth: A Public Art Action” with help from volunteers and local businesses and organizations, including @bgcnny , @cityofnewburgh and @NewburghCommunityLandBank , whose mission is to improve the quality of life in Newburgh by stabilizing and revitalizing abandoned properties. Our 158 images of Newburgh residents were wheat pasted onto buildings all over the city. These portraits will remain indefinitely to continue to raise awareness about COVID-19, systemic racism, and police brutality. Stay tuned for upcoming public events during the course of this year.
